A thief broke into the school “Bitolski Kongres” two days ago in the Skopje suburb Gazi Baba, and stole forty laptop computers from the computer lab, the Skopje police informed.

According to the information from the police, the thief broke into the premises of the school by breaking open the front door on the night between Tuesday and Wednesday. There was neither security nor video surveillance in the school, which only made things easier for the thief. He went directly to the computer lab, taking 36 laptops, a desktop computer, monitor and DVD player.

The theft was discovered in the morning, when the employees went to work. They noticed that the front door lock was broken. A few minutes later they found out that the thief had literally emptied their computer lab. They immediately notified the local police station, whose teams quickly arrived.

The Skopje police informed that so far they have no suspects for this grand theft.

During the last few months, schools are often targeted by local thieves and their loot is almost always the same - donated computers and computer equipment.
